The Hope Song
The sudden shift in the lifestyle was a shock to me just like the rest of us. Being homebound was a difficult situation, but the worst part was not being able to meet loved ones. Rationing food supplies and other essentials was another challenge.
Amidst all of this, I was asked to pen down my thoughts to be composed into a song for the school keeping in mind the current scenario.
My heart only hung onto one thought 'A hope for freedom from this pandemic'.
I realized how important this four letter word is to keep you going, to enable you to move on, to keep smiling despite the odds.
So keeping all that in mind, the words flowed through me and the 'Hope Song' was born. My daughter was the first one to listen to the lyrics. She loved them. She decided to hum a tune and compose the song for us.
Thus, together with the help of Ms. Jaee our music teacher, we composed the song and was well-rendered by the staff and learners at LAIS. The 'Hope Song' continues to inspire me whenever I hear it.
Looking forward to pen down more such songs.
