A medical family and Ob/Gyn practitioner for more than three decades our Chairperson recently retired from the practice to be able to devote all her time to the Trust.
Being the daughter of the Founder Mme Sulochana Sheti, she was the reason why the school was started. She was inducted as a Trustee much later in her life as an Honorary Secretary and continued to hold the post until June 2020. She has a keen interest in music, environment, flora fauna and always eager to share various conservation techniques and motivates the schools to follow the same.
She has seen the AET grow and has been a part of all its teething problems. She has been one of the driving forces to bring the Trust and schools to their current state of success.
Her goal is to see the AET, the LAHS and LAIS as pioneers in the field of education, which all educational institutions all over India would be eager to emulate.
Anil Shenoy – Hon Secretary of the Trust is an alumnus of Little Angels’ High School (1977 Batch), and an Industrial Production Engineer. Most of his professional life was in Engineering Design Consultancy Companies with specialisation in Quality Management Systems, IT and Infrastructure Management in reputed International Companies in India and the Middle East. After a premature retirement from active professional life he decided to return to his Alma Mater to help manage the day to day working of the Trust and its affiliated institutions and activities, to provide his expertise regarding Infrastructure projects and maintenance of facilities for the Trust.
Imparting Quality and Affordable education for the various strata of the society has been the sole goal of AET. This has translated into a State Board School and now an International School with proposed affiliation to the IGCSE Syllabus. The school management, the leadership team and the teachers have taken upon them to upgrade themselves and their teaching methods to meet the requirement of the times. The International School developing with a well-crafted Pedagogy and infrastructure to support it will be the endeavour. To see both the schools excel in the Extra Curricular Activities and Sports will be the icing on the cake.
As the Head of Schools, Priya Mehta, oversees the overall functioning of the two schools which are under the aegis of the Trust. A Commerce and a Library Science graduate, she has also worked in the software development field and set up an International School library. She is also trained in Personality Development and as a career counsellor. She has been a school assessor that reviews various schools’ performances in a 360-degree format. She is responsible for the administration and academics of all sections of both the schools of the Trust. She liaises between the Trust and the schools with respect to academic requirements, planning events for the schools. Her goal is to see that both the schools be recognised for innovative teaching methods with children developing skills to be able to take on any challenges coming their way.
A Commerce graduate and an alumnus of the Little Angels’ High School, Anil Acharya has worked in the Banking sector for over two decades in the Operations and HR departments. After voluntary retirement, he came back to his alma mater as a Property Manager for the Trust. He oversees all aspects of property management operations, including maintenance, tenant relations, and lease administration. He coordinates with contractors and service providers for upgrades, and regular maintenance and ensures compliance with property regulations, standards, and safety requirements along with the compliance required by the local Govt. authorities. He also manages the financial aspects of property management. He envisions the Trust foraying into higher education and continue its contribution to the welfare of society.
A Commerce graduate, with a Diploma in Financial Management, Pooja Padiyar comes with over a decade of experience in varied business sectors. She joined the Trust as an accountant and now Heads the Finance department. She is responsible not only for the daily accounting systems but also for finalising and reconciling annual financial returns to maintain compliance with legal and regulatory requirements including internal statutory audits. She coordinates with the Executive leadership team and department heads and is responsible to ensure adherence to the Trusts’ financial goals and that the objectives are aligned with its vision. Financial planning and analysis to improve the Trusts’ financial performance along with streamlining accounting processes for efficiency is her primary goal. She envisions that the Trust continue to remain financially strong so as to continuously contribute and grow in the education sector.
