Curriculum

The school believes that every child is unique and has an innate ability to learn if provided with a stimulating and enriching environment. In lieu with developing a growth mindset and the schools’ learner attribute, we have designed the curriculum to aim at an all-round development and an integrated approach to build skills and knowledge of every child.

The curriculum is defined as a planned sequence of instructions to create student experiences so as to meet the school’s instructional goals. LAHS is an inclusive, co-educational school where we endeavor to achieve the all-round development of the child in an effort to mold them into disciplined citizens of tomorrow . Stress is laid on personality development, character building and the ability to take independent decisions. We aim to bring out the best in each child providing them the ability to reach their fullest potential, academically, morally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and socially.

LAHS follows the Maharashtra State Board Curriculum of 10 + 2 +3. The age of instruction for formal instruction in class I is 6+. The ten-year school journey is Primary stage – Classes I-IV, Upper-Primary stage – Classes V-VIII, and Secondary stage – Classes IX-X. Students of Class X appear for the S.S.C exams conducted by the Maharashtra Secondary State Board of Higher Education.

While following the basic framework given by the Maharashtra Government, we at LAHS have adapted the existing syllabus and customized it to cater to the all-round development of the students. The topics in all subjects in the pre-primary and primary are divided into subtopics, which are then integrated with all subjects, and imparted, keeping in mind the needs of the children. Activity-based learning is an integral part of our teaching-learning process at LAHS. The use of technology to explain concepts is one of the pedagogies adopted. Value Education, Physical training, Art & Craft, and various inter-house competitions are part of a regular day in the school.
